Italy are in Group 8 for FIFA 2010 World Cup Qualification. They will play against Bulgaria, Republic of Ireland, Cyprus, Georgia and Montenegro.

The nine group winners will qualify automatically whilst the best eight second placed teams will enter into a Play-Off to decide the other four qualifiers.
