Transfer Speculation: Monday 22nd June
We take a look at the latest transfer rumours involving Italian sides.
Newly promoted Parma are shock contenders to sign striker Antonio Di Natale from Udinese. It's thought the Gialloblu are ready to offer £7m to land the 31-year old. After failing to land Hernan Crespo, Fiorentina are ready to turn their attention to his former Inter team mate Julio Cruz. The Viola are looking to strengthen their attacking options for the Champions League.
Latest reports say that Roma are willing to let striker Julio Baptista leave the club. The former Real Madrid man is keen to see out his contract in Rome however, and has turned down a move to Manchester City. The £10m signing is also being linked with a move back to Spain with Atletico Madrid.
As one player may leave, another will arrive. The Lupi have confirmed the signing of talented midfielder Stefano Guberti from Bari on a 4-year deal.
Milan have been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago. Should Andrea Pirlo leave Milan, the Rossoneri hierarchy see the 23-year old as a perfect replacement. It's thought the fee involved would be around £12m.
Juventus are keen on signing striker Robert Acquafresca. However should the Italian U21 international move from Genoa, it may mean Juve giving up their rights to defender Domenico Criscito, who will make his loan move to the Marassi a permanent one.
The Bianconeri officials are also set to meet with Udinese on Friday to discuss a possible deal for Gaetano D'Agostino.
Lazio are continuing their interest in signing Pavel Nedved who left Juventus at the end of last season. It was expected that Nedved would retire, however his agent Mimo Raiola has confirmed the Biancocelesti's interest and says a decision will be made within the next two weeks.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has spoken of his admiration for Lazio's Goran Pandev and it's thought the Partenopei will be making a bid shortly. Fabio Quagliarella and Luca Cigarini have already made the move to the San Paolo as Napoli look to improve on last seasons disappointing league finish.
